Plastics-free Champion Award

We’re delighted to share some exciting news from the flock — Golden Sheep Coffee has been awarded a Plastic‑Free Champion certificate by Stroud District Action on Plastic.
This award recognises local businesses that have taken meaningful steps to remove single‑use plastics from their operations. To qualify, businesses need to make at least three significant swaps… and we’re proud to say we’ve gone well beyond that.
From the very beginning, reducing waste has been a core part of how we work. Whether it’s choosing compostable cups, rethinking our packaging, or finding reusable alternatives behind the scenes, we’ve always believed that great coffee shouldn’t cost the earth.
Michael received the award at Shambles Market, along with a lovely plaque and certificate — a moment that means a lot to us as a small, independent business rooted in the Stroud community.
A huge thank‑you to Stroud District Action on Plastic for the recognition, and to all our customers who support our efforts to tread a little more lightly. We’ll keep working hard to make sustainable choices wherever we can, one cup at a time.
